Susan Ferrier



Susan Ferrier joined Allens Arthur Robinson in October 2006 as director, people and development. Allens Arthur Robinson is a leading international law firm that operates in 14 cities across eight different countries and has been voted Best Large Professional Services Firm and Best Large Law Firm three of the past four years in the BRW Client Choice Awards. The firm is one of 99 businesses across Australia that has been recognised by the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) as an Employer of Choice for Women, an important citation awarded to Allens in the last four consecutive times since 2005. Ferrier's role is to lead the people and development team in providing strategic and operational HR business advice to partners, lawyers and other professionals in the firm. 

Before joining Allens, she worked for 15 years in London in the investment banking sector including as global head of human resources for HSBC's Investment Banking business and as head of human resources for global corporate finance at Deutsche Bank. She has also worked in senior human resources roles with ING Barings, NatWest Markets and Barclays de Zoete Wedd. Ferrier began her career as a lawyer. She has a BA/LLB degree from the University of Sydney and an MBA from Nijenrode University in The Netherlands. The experience gained since joining Allens Arthur Robinson, combined with the years Susan spent working at investment banks in London, means she is well versed with the dynamics of a fast-changing environment and adopting different strategies across diverse markets.
